"I do not see why she had to kill him! Just because he is big! He is not even big compared to them!"
Poor spider died today on March 30. Poor Poor little fellow. Squashed by mom. He was a bit big and brown-black a bit hairy. Let us take a moment to think and honor our dear friend.

Learning about the holocaust

Last night, me and my mom went to the library in Warsaw. We were going to a presentation about Anne Frank. I did not learn much about her (Only things I already knew!) but learned more about the holocaust instead. The person giving the presentation went to some of the camps and we saw a video of her in a gas chamber, a entrance way to a camp, and mass graves. It was very, very sad and I learned a lot. I can't say what I learned right now, I do not know how to say it but I can say it was million gazillion times sad and horrible and sad.

I saw a pic on children in the camps. So unbelievably skinny! So sad and horrifying!

Anne Frank quotes.

Here are my favorite Anne Frank quotes that are very beautiful.

June 12, 1942 (opening of her diary)

I hope I will be able to confide everything to you, as I have never been able to confide in anyone, and I hope you will be a great source of comfort and support.

   September 28, 1942

I've learned one thing: you only really get to know a person after a fight. Only then can you judge their true character!

  February 23, 1944

The best remedy for those who are frightened, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere they can be alone with the sky, nature and God. For then and only then can you feel that everything is as it should be and that God wants people to be happy amid nature's beauty and simplicity.

Whenever you're feeling lonely or sad, try going to the loft on a beautiful day and looking outside. Not at the houses and the rooftops, but at the sky. As long as you can look fearlessly at the sky, you'll know that you're pure within and will find happiness once more.

December 29, 1943

You can be lonely even when you're loved by many people, since you're still not anybody's "one and only."

May 3, 1944

There's a destructive urge in people, the urge to rage, murder and kill. And until all of humanity, without exception, undergoes a metamorphosis, wars will continue to be waged, and everything that has been carefully built up, cultivated and grown will be cut down and destroyed, only to start all over again!

March 2, 1944

Love, what is love? I don't think you can really put it into words. Love is understanding someone, caring for him, sharing his joys and sorrows.

This last one is not really something to quote but I thought it was funny.

    July 8, 1944

(Mr. Kugler said,) "My gosh, the whole world's turned to strawberries. I had strawberries for breakfast, Jan's having them for lunch, Kleiman's eating them as a snack, Miep's boiling them, Bep's hulling them, and I can smell them everywhere I go. I come upstairs to get away from all that red and what do I see? People washing strawberries!"

More about the puppies

The puppies opened their eyes and are getting to be wild! They are growling and biting and playing with each other. If you or Pearl, the mother, comes down the stairs they will just charge at you and yip and yap and howl. Pearl ignores them a lot even when the charge out of their cage and make their "Mama" noises. They are very cute and irresistible and the grown a lot! Their teeth just started to come in and know there a bit sharp. If they all wake up, their going to come out of the cage to pee! (They are doing that right now and Pearl is just barking at the cat!) We lay newspapers out so they pee on that. Charlie is fine with them. In the picture above the puppies are exploring him! We are going to move them into the garage soon because they are getting to big and loud and yucky! I don't want to move them into the garagee because I cant see them as much. We made a video of them but it messed up but we'll make another one and I hope to post it on here.

OH NO! PEARL! Good Charlie is hiding behind the computer.
Now since Pearl is out the pups are going crazy! They are yapping for their mama but she wont come. Gross! the floor is covered with pee and Pearl is moving the newspapers. She doesn't notice the cat.
The puppies, I hope, will get good homes.
Sometimes when Pearl is siting down, the puppies have to pile up in a mountain to get milk! If Pearl gets up, sometimes one of the puppies is still hanging on to her! Pearl is feeding them now but she is siting instead of laying down! Charlie is watching Pearl with his kitty eyes. The puppies are calm now but I had to pick about five of them up and put them in with Pearl. Avery used his "Dicinfecting wipes! (Ave told me to say that!)" to clean the yucky pee! Oh come on! Pearl just left her pups again and now they are scattered every where! Charlie is with a pup right now. He just sniffs the puppy. Ohhh! Charlie is now in the cage with all the puppies!  : )

Anne Frank

Have you ever read the Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank? If you haven't here is what it is:
This Is a true story about a Jew named Anne Frank who went in hiding with her family. She gets a diary for her birthday and takes it with her to her hiding place. Then Jews Mr. Mrs. Van Daan and Peter Van Daan come into hiding with the Frank family. Then a dentist comes in hiding to. They went in hiding for two years before the Nazis came and arrested them along with two of their helpers.
It is a really good and interesting book. You should read it. ***** Five stars!

Puppies!!!!

On March 1, 2011, I was woken by my dad in the middle of the night.  He told me that our dog, Pearl, was in labor. I went downstairs and saw the first puppy. He or she was whining a lot and was very cute. I saw our second pup being born. It was amazing and gross. The puppy was covered in a slimy sac called a placenta. We had seven puppies before we went to bed. But when I got up in the morning I was surprised to find out that we had three more puppies! Now we have ten puppies, three males and seven females. It was an amazing night.
